mission

Beaumont First Assembly of God is committed to helping everyone become the person God created, designed, and instructs them to be.

Beaumont First Assembly of God is a fellowship of Christian believers who are committed to Biblical obedience.

We clearly see in the Scriptures that our primary purpose is to reconcile spiritually lost people to God.  We pledge ourselves to fulfill this Scriptural  objective by making sure that every person receives an adequate witness of salvation through Jesus Christ, and ample opportunities to become a Christian by receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.  We are also committed to making disciples of all people who  become reconciled to God.  We will especially concentrate our efforts in fulfilling this objective in the immediate areas where we live, work, and associate.  At the same time we will seek to fulfill this objective to all people, in all places throughout our nation and world.

In order to effectively fulfill our Scriptural mission, and to always keep our primary objective in clear and proper view, we dedicate ourselves to loving the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, to loving ourselves through Scripturally obedient living, and to loving our neighbor (others) as ourselves.

Loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength is our upward relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We love God by honoring Him through worship, intimate fellowship, obedience, and faithful commitment.

Loving ourselves through Scripturally obedient living means that we will strive to become the kind of person that God says we should become, and live the way God wants us to live.  We love ourselves by maturing as a Christian, practicing spiritual disciplines, experiencing everything God intends for us to experience, allowing ourselves to be ministered to, knowing who we uniquely are in Christ (and functioning accordingly), ensuring our conduct and character are Scriptural and Christlike, and by watching and preparing for His return.

Loving our neighbor (others) as ourselves is our outward relationship with all other people.  We love our neighbor (others) as ourselves by praying for them, forgiving our offenders, showing compassion, being kind, doing good, and by using spiritual gifts to minister to others.  We will love our neighbors (others) as the Scripture instructs us to do so.  We will love those who are spiritually lost, those who are Christians, those who are in physical or material need, those who are sick and diseased, those who are oppressed by the devil, those who are dignitaries and authorities, those who are family members, those who mistreat and persecute us, and those who are orphans and widows.

We recognize that we will not see these things accomplished without Godís grace and power, combined with our wholehearted and best efforts.  We therefore pledge ourselves to seek God faithfully in earnest prayer to receive the Spiritís power and divine grace, as we do our part with full effort and obedience.
